Note by m000:
If you keep experiencing strange errors like sudden freezes, errors and freezes when using this tool or Android recovery, being unable to boot the tv 90% of the time etc it's likely the cooling paste of the cpu at the tv motherboard. It is of horrific bad quality so you have to buy a new tv after 5-10 years. Instead of using screws they fixed the cooler to the board, I was unable to desolder it so I used a dremel. After applying gd900 cooling paste and fixing the cooler again and reinstalling Android it works like new.
